udaanpay is a mobile application offered by Hiveloop E-Commerce Private Limited (“HEPL”). This mobile application enables merchants who are onboarded on the mobile application to obtain a static QR code which can be placed at the merchant’s physical location. This enables the merchants to receive payment from customers who scan the QR code available at the merchant’s location to pay for goods / services offered at the merchant’s outlets. The mobile application also provides a dashboard to track transactions undertaken by customers of a merchant, once they are confirmed by the Payment Aggregator.

Yes Bank Limited is the Payment Aggregator for udaanpay. A merchant onboarded on udaanpay will be bound by terms and conditions of Payment Aggregator available here.

No, udaanpay is not a UPI, bank, or NBFC.

  • Once merchant has downloaded and signed up on the udaanpay mobile application, merchant can receive money from any customer using QR code provided by udaanpay in form of udaanpay QR Sticker, udaanpay QR Standee and/or udaanpay Soundbox.
  • The merchant can check their transaction details and summary basis information provided by Payment Aggregator on their udaanpay mobile applications’ dashboard.

udaanpay is not a wallet.

No, customers do not need to install udaanpay. They can scan the QR code provided by udaanpay made available at merchant’s outlets using any UPI-enabled payment application (such as Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, etc.) to make payments.

A merchant cannot use udaanpay outside India as the udaanpay mobile application generates QR code for merchants in India for commercial/ business purposes

To access the udaanpay mobile application and its linked features such as dashboard access, the merchant will need an active internet connection. However, for using udaanpay QR Sticker, and udaanpay QR Standee, the merchant does not have to be connected to internet. A customer who is making the digital payment using any UPI-enabled payment application (such as Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, etc.) will mandatorily need internet for making such payment

No, udaanpay has no setup fees or hidden charges. The registration on the udaanpay mobile application is free of any cost.

Installation and Registration:

Udaanpay is designed for merchants who want to enable receipt of digital payments from customers who wish to make payments by scanning a QR code made available at the merchant’s outlets.

Here is how udaanpay works:
  • A merchant downloads the udaanpay mobile application available at Google Play Store and signs up with mobile number, name, business name, address of business, bank account details, PAN and GST-IN Number.
  • Basis the details provided by merchant, the Payment Aggregator will complete onboarding process.
  • Post onboarding process, merchant will be provided with a unique static QR code which can be displayed by the merchant at the outlet.
  • Customers can scan the QR code using any UPI supported application to make payments which are then processed by the Payments Aggregator.
  • Payment Aggregator then processes the transaction.
  • Once confirmed by the Payments Aggregator, the transaction details and summary can be accessed by the merchant on their udaanpay dashboard.

Yes, if the merchant wishes to use udaanpay, they need to provide their bank account details for being onboarded on udaanpay mobile application. This is necessary for the Payment Aggregator to complete onboarding process and to enable payment processing by their customers.
